Celebrate Earth Day in Oakhurst

Join us for the annual Earth Day Festival in Oakhurst on Sunday, April 22nd from 1 until 4pm. The event will be held in the Oakhurst Community Garden.

The event kicks off with an Earth Friendly Parade that begins at 12:30pm in Harmony Park. The Black Sheep Ensemble will be leading the parade and the community is invited to decorate their bikes, wagons or strollers and march along as the parade winds its way to the Garden. Parade participants are encouraged to dress up in their interpretation of Earth Day!

Enjoy the music of The TAASK, a youth band from the metro area from 1:45 – 2:30pm, then listen to Decatur’s own Wonder-Nerds from 2:45 – 3:40pm.

Author Cathy Kaemmerlen will be signing her latest book Buzz on Honeybees.
