Justin Spears of the Atlanta Public School System will be spending the summer teaching swim lessons for the City of Decatur Active Living Department. He has created a program at MLK Middle School in Atlanta to teach under priveledged children how to swim. Not knowing how to swim is a public safety issue and the City of Decatur wants to ensure that lack of economic resources is not a barrier for children to learn to swim. Justin Spears has partnered with the Make-A-Splash foundation and will be bringing the Learn-to-Swim program to Ebster Pool in Decatur for low income youth.
