How can you participate in Car-Free Day? Make a commitment to reduce your automobile use on September 21. That might mean biking or riding MARTA to work, walking to the store or the Blue Sky Concert, sharing a ride with friends and neighbors, or riding the bus.
Car-Free Day aims to reduce excessive automobile use for one day out of the year and to remind the community that the care is not the only or bet way to make many kinds of trips. Most trips people take are less than three miles. Walking not only saves gas, but it contributes to your health and the health of the community. Walk There Decatur!!
