Team Decatur held its first 2014 social last night at The Corner Pub and attendees were surprised with a visit from former Olympian Jeff Galloway. They asked him questions about their running habits and got some good free advice.

Team Decatur was formed in 2010 to participate in the Kaiser Permanente Corporate 5k held in September in downtown Atlanta. The team had over 200 participants last year. Team Decatur and the KP Corporate Run/Walk

Team Decatur members are getting excited about the KP Corporate Run/Walk to be held this Thursday in downtown Atlanta. This is the fourth year that TD has participated and our team is 210 strong! The newly designed shirts are very bright orange so the Team will definitely stand out!

Thanks to Clay at Fleet Feet for being not only a sponsor, but hosting the “pick up” of the shirts.

We appreciate all of our sponsors who make it possible to have great shirts, a surprise gift this year, and catering from the Oakhurst Market at the Team Decatur tent.  By the way, you can find the Team Decatur tent at P163 and by following the bright orange trail of shirts :-).

Team Decatur Kick-off July 22 – Staying Active in Decatur

Join Decatur Active Living on Monday, July 22 for the fourth annual Team Decatur Get Active Kickoff. This year’s event will be held in the newly renovated Decatur Recreation Center located at 231 Sycamore Street from 6 – 8pm.

  • Meet Olympian Jeff Galloway and learn about his running programs.
  • Enter a FREE drawing to win prizes like gift certificates, a weekend retreat with Jeff Galloway, free classes, and more.

Team Decatur: Registration for the KP Corporate Challenge is Open

Decatur Active Living invites you to participate in the 2013 Kaiser Permanente Corporate Run/Walk 5k as part of Team Decatur. This is a great opportunity to get fit and meet fun neighbors and community members.

This year’s run/walk will be held on Thursday, September 12 and begins in downtown Atlanta under the Olympic Rings. The run/walk concludes with the “World’s Largest Office Party” adjacent to Turner Field. Team Decatur members join together in the “team tent” and enjoy music, food and camaraderie. Everyone who registers under Team Decatur will receive a special Team Decatur dri-fit running shirt to wear during the event.

How to register? Click here and be sure to select Team Decatur from the provided list. You will be asked for a t-shirt size twice. One is the KP Run/Walk t-shirt and the next time specifies that you are choosing the size for the Team Decatur shirt which offers the option of getting a small. These shirts will be distributed before the race for you to wear while participating.
