The More The Merrier — Help a Friend/Co-Worker/Relative Get Started

“Now’s a great time to help someone get into a fitness habit. Both of you will benefit. Not only will you help him/her to manage attitude, improve vitality, release stress and think more clearly, but studies show that helping others bestows a boost to the immune system. Even if the exerciser doesn’t lose an ounce, there is an enhancement to the spirit that improves the quality of life for both of you.
When tense, stressed or un-motivated family members or co-workers exercise, they tend to be more positive and more humane afterward. Do you want your kids to do their best in school? Studies show that kids who exercise regularly do better in school and in life. Here are a few tips that have helped to improve motivation and success.”
Start getting fit now so you will be ready to join Team Decatur for the Kaiser Permanente Run/Walk on September 8th. Team Decatur members have been active already this year; 14 participated in the Decatur Booster Club “Run With the Dogs” on January 8 and are training for the Decatur Education Foundation “Tour de Catur” on March 28th. Don’t be left out- come on out and run or walk your way to a fit 2011! You may want to run three local Decatur races and join us for the KP Run/walk to “hit” a fitness Grand Slam!
