Tonight is “Coaches vs. Cancer” night at the varsity games. Coaches will wear suits and sneakers, our players will wear pink items, cheerleaders will take donations, and we will have giveaways at halftime of the girls game. DHS will make a donation to the American Cancer Society.
Meanwhile, the DHS Band Students will be selling Bulldog Cards….The Decatur High School Band Parents Association has a new discount card fundraiser to help the band students earn money for their trip to Chiapas, Mexico. Each card costs $10, fits in your wallet, and can be used over and over throughout the year at 15 Decatur restaurants and businesses. Participating businesses include: Suburban Frames, Wahoo Grill, Farmstead 303, Dairy Queen, Subway, Raging Burrito, Athens Pizza House, Suburban Lanes, Maud Baker’s Florist, Philly Southside Cheesesteaks, Johnny’s Pizza and Subs, Sherwood Chiropractic Center, Feast, Pastries A Go Go, and Matador Mexican Cantina.
Band students will be selling these cards TONIGHT in the lobby of The Spike, so bring your checkbook or some extra cash and grab one while they are still available.
The fun begins at 5:30pm in the Decatur High School Gym on N. McDonough.
