National Start! Walking Day April 6th

The American Heart Association has proclaimed April 6th as National Start! Walking Day, so lace up your sneakers, gather friends and/or co-workers, and walk to help prevent heart disease. But don’t stop there – use the day to start your walking regimen, or to ramp up your ongoing exercise program.

Did you know that 70% of Americans don’t get enough exercise? That’s true for many of us and it means that we are at greater risk for heart disease, stroke and other blood vessel diseases. Don’t take this sitting down!! Let’s get out and WALK DECATUR on April 6th!
