There are a lot of fun ways to stay active in Decatur this weekend.
On Friday night, enjoy the annual Decatur Beach Party, a fundraiser for the Decatur Business Association. Play in the sand, enjoy boardwalk games, and dance to the wonderful sounds of Yacht Rock Schooner. The Beach Party begins at 5pm, music begins at 8pm, and the fun lasts until 11pm. On Saturday be sure to visit the Decatur Farmer’s Market where they will be celebrating 10 years in Decatur. Cakes and Ale Chef/owner Billy Allin will be doing a demonstration at 9:30 a.m. in conjunction with Georgia Pastured Poultry Week. There will also be a silent auction and fun activities. The Farmer’s Market is located at the corner of N McDonough and Trinity Place and will be open from 9 until 1pm. Click here for more information.
On Sunday take some time to visit your favorite Decatur Park, and then stop by one of our three great pools. McKoy Pool is great for the smaller children and Ebster Pool is popular with the older children since it has the only diving board of our three pools. For information on Decatur pools, click here.
