“I Bike Decatur” Ride Tonight

Join Bicycle South and the Southern Bicycle League as they team up to form the first ride of the “I BIKE Decatur” chapter/branch of the Southern Bicycle League. Designed with minimal hills and stops, this is really a great cruising kind of ride. Recover from your weekend as you cruise through sections of Decatur, Emory, Atlanta, Kirkwood, Oakhurst and Avondale Estates.

The first mile is the Paul Taylor remembrance section. This ride has tremendous character and rolls through the roundabout at Emory Village to Lullwater; To Oakdale, Cabbagetown and Flat Shoals; Onto Oakview thru Oakhurst to S Mc Donough; PATH to S Candler/Arcadia; Over to Avondale along Lakeshore; Clarendon to Larado to PATH back to Sams Crossing. Onto E Ponce for one block, then Sycamore Dr, Forkner and through the Medlock neighborhood. This ride is 20 miles and no drop. A shorter option is available of 15 miles depending on the number of participants that would like to ride this option.

Meet at Bicycle South, 2098 N. Decatur Rd. Decatur, GA which is at the intersection of Clairmont and N. Decatur Rd, Decatur, GA. Helmets required and you should have a light and blinkers and be able to ride 20 miles or more in a 2 hour period. We’ll meet afterwards for dinner at Athens Pizza on the patio.

This ride is a regular SBL ride every Monday Night come out and join us. No Ride if Raining.
