Two NEW Adult/Senior Bike Classes in November
Ready to get back on the bike? Senior cycling is on the rise and has a new look. Join us Tuesday Nov 10 @10am for a confident cycling class (in a classroom and on a path without cars) with a certified bike league instructor. Have you been wanting to get on your bike but not sure you are ready for city cycling? Well, there are two chances to learn the rules of the road, safety and more in November at Decatur Recreation Center! We have teamed up with Nedra Deadwyler from Civil Bikes to offer two classes during November.
Bike Class for Seniors – Tuesday, November 10, 10 am – 12:30 pm
First thing to know, we’ll be biking on a PATH! A bicycling basics class is designed to get higher mobility Seniors back in the saddle and able to ride safely on bike trails, bike paths and roadways. The class will cover topics such as GA law, safe riding practices, and how to use trails and roads; teaching skills on how to get to and from your destination safely. Bring your own bikes and water. If you need a bike, there is an extra $10 fee. For more information and to register click here. Adult City Cycling – Saturday, November 21, 1 – 3:30 pm
This is the perfect class to give Active Adults a way to increase physical activity levels in the outdoors. The class will cover topics such as GA law, safe riding practices, and how to use trails and roads; teaching skills on how to get to and from your destination safely so you learn how to incorporate bicycling in everyday travel.
