PEDS is accepting applications for an Outreach Coordinator to help implement our Safe Routes for Seniors initiative.
This job provides someone with at least one year of training in Public Health or community education to apply their skills toward encouraging increased walking.
Responsibilities include:
- Organizing workshops, listening sessions and walking audits
- Recruiting program participants
- Enabling volunteers in selected communities to become effective safety pedestrian safety advocates
- Helping communities organize and sustain successful walking clubs
Hours: 10 – 15 hours per week. Flexible hours
Pay: $12 – $13 / hour, depending on qualifications.
