Run With the Dogs 5K is Saturday, January 12

  It’s not too late to register for the Run with the Dogs 5k on Saturday, January 12.

2019 run with dog The 5K run/walk begins at 9:00 am, rain or shine at Decatur High School in Decatur, GA.  The one mile Pup Trot begins at 8:30 am. One registration fee allows you to do the 5k and the 1 mile puppy run.  Do one or do both!  Runners and walkers of all levels are invited to participate with their furry canine companions!  You don’t have to have a dog though :).  All proceeds will be used by the Decatur Bulldog Boosters to help fund the sports programs at Decatur High School and Renfroe Middle School.

Run With the Dogs: Register by Friday to Receive Early Bird Discount

The Decatur Bulldog Boosters invite you to start 2014 off on the right foot by participating in the 9th annual Run With The Dogs 5K on Saturday, January 11.

The Run With The Dogs is the first qualifying event in the  City of Decatur’s 2014 Grand Slam Fitness Challenge.

Register online at www.active.com (search “Run With The Dogs”) by Friday (1/3/2014) to take advantage of a 20% discounted fee.

Run or walk this 3.1 mile course through the neighborhoods of the City of Decatur. Challenge yourself or just come out with friends and neighbors for the health of it. Dog owners are invited to bring their canine companions.

Long sleeved event t-shirts are guaranteed to all pre-registered participants.

All canine companions will receive a special commemorative event kerchief.

The run/walk begins at 9AM in front of Decatur High School at 310 North McDonough Street. Registration begins at 8AM. Discounted registration for Decatur school system students, teachers and staff and for City of Decatur employees. All proceeds support the athletic programs of Decatur High and Renfroe Middle Schools.

Bonus: Pop into the EXPO at the Decatur Recreation Center afterwards to learn about all the new classes and activities we offer in 2014.

Start Off The New Year With a “Run With the Dogs”

The Decatur Bulldog Boosters invite you to the 7th Annual “Run With the Dogs” on Saturday, January 7th at 9am. The race will feature a single 5K  where runners and dog-owners can run or walk with (or without) their dogs. Runners receive a commemorative t-shirt and canine participants receive a sporty “race”-kerchief.

The “Run With the Dogs” kicks off the second annual Team Decatur Grand Slam Fitness Challenge, which encourages you to stay active year round.  Awards for last year’s Grand Slam Fitness “Champions” will be presented after the “Run With the Dogs”.  So come on out and burn off those holiday calories!
