Touch a Budget is Tonight!
March 29, 2016 Leave a comment
The City of Decatur invites the community to its annual Touch a Budget expo on Tuesday, March 29 from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. at the Decatur Recreation Center, 231 Sycamore Street. Everyone is welcome at this free event. Touch a Budget is designed to engage people of all ages in the city’s budgeting process in a fun, relaxed atmosphere (think music, food, & prizes). In addition to learning about the city’s plans for spending in the fiscal year that begins July 1, 2016, you might win a prize (plus there is special “Keep It IndieCatur” popcorn created for the event by New Orleans SnoBall Café so get there early!). Public safety and public works vehicles will be parked in front of the Recreation Center for children and adults to see up close. Touch a Budget attendees will also be able to visit the Visitors’ Center tent and sign up as special events volunteers.
