Walk For Lunch: Best of Atlanta!

The May Walking Group

Decatur Active Living is very excited to learn that our new  noontime walking program “Walk For Lunch” received a Best of Atlanta “No Excuses Exercise” from Atlanta Magazine! We collaborated with Zuaquis and Zachery Ross to bring the program to Decatur last May, and happy that it has been a success.

Here’s what Atlanta Magazine has to say:

“There are a few reasons not to escape your crummy cubile, get some exercise, and soak in Vitamin D with Walk For Lunch, a noontime initiative that guides Downtown and Decatur walkers on a one-to two-mile route on Tuesdays and Thursdays. Sure, you could do that by yourself – and for less than the four week fee of $25, but founders Zachery and Zuaquis Ross have added bonuses: prizes, healthy lunch discounts, and peer pressure from fellow walkers. Plus, proceeds benefit local children’s charities”.

Congratulations also go to Decatur Yoga and Pilates for receiving Best Yoga Studio in the Reader’s Survey. Lots of reasons to stay active in Decatur!

Walk For Lunch photos are from one of our favorite walkers and photographers, Arthur Ratliff.
