The Adult Beginners Tennis Clinic Returns to Glenlake Tennis Center

Each year the City of Decatur Active Living Department offers 6-week adult beginner tennis clinics in an effort to bring the joys of tennis to more people in the community. Tennis is considered a life long activity because it is played by 6 year olds and 80 year olds alike. It offers one of the best full body workouts of any sports and is estimated to burn more calories per hour than every activity besides swimming. Jabari Cole at Glenlake Tennis Center has developed the 6 week course to instruct adults on the proper way to hit forehands, backhands, volley, and serves. The course also covers the basics of singles and doubles play. The first 6 week clinic for 2011 is scheduled to begin on Thursday, March 24, at 6pm. It will continue each Thursday at 6 until the course has been completed. The cost is $75 for City of Decatur Residents and $100 for non City of Decatur Residents. Space is limited so please contact Glenlake Tennis Center at 404-377-7231 to reserve your spot.
