Sundays in the Garden at Woodlands

White Oak Fairies

My friend and I visited Woodlands Garden this past Sunday for their monthly “Sundays in the Garden”, held the last Sunday of each month from 2 until 4 pm. What a wonderful way to spend a Sunday afternoon!  We enjoyed the coolness of this “urban forest” ; if you didn’t know it was right next to Scott Boulevard you would think you were miles from the city.  There are paths to wander on, a creek to cross, and many of the plants and trees have identifying labels. Thanks to Ruby Bock for helping to make this a great place to visit.

This month the garden featured “Fairy Houses” and we had a lot of fun discovering them throughout the property. These little houses were so creatively designed; the artists used materials found in nature to make these treasures.
