Decatur Recreation Center Construction Update – Enters into Week Ten

Construction at Decatur Recreation Center enters into week ten and last week 26 cubic yards of concrete was poured to began the shaping of the wall for the new multi-use room and administrative offices (Formerly the social room). While on the site I have meet several of the contractors and last week I had the opportunity to meet Timothy Jones(pictured below) who grew up in the Oakhurst comunity.  Timothy graduated from Decatur High School in 1982 and played under Carter Wilson.  Timothy Jones is a Senior Build Tech and is responsible for concrete, roofing, soil, water proofing and reinforcement.  For construction updates continue to follow the Active Living blog.

Walking track steel beams are currently being installed in the gym area.
