GCB Book talks recorded by our community partners

microphoneMany of you are well versed in the fabulous array of authors who lead conversations in Decatur about their books. Joe Davich, Director of the Georgia Center for the Book works year round and statewide to bring the authors to us and often the demand is so great that a larger venue is needed. Community partners like the First Baptist Church of Decatur, the Dekalb County Public Library, and Decatur Recreation Center all host book talks for the Georgia Center for the Book as well as the Carter Center and other organizations.

And NOW, in case you missed it, or it was standing room only, there is an online archive of talks available to the community and hosted by the First Baptist Church of Decatur. Check out this link to find your favorite talks and listen to them all over again during the holidays with your family. http://www.fbcdecatur.com/author-talks-blog/

Here’s a sample of the talk by our local poet laureate Natasha Tretheway: Men We Reaped http://www.fbcdecatur.com/author-talks-blog/2014/9/15/men-we-reaped
