An invitation to the community from Alison Amyx at Georgia Interfaith Power & Light:
“Join Georgia Interfaith Power & Light (GIPL) as we celebrate National Bike Month at our Bike for Breakfast event on May 31.
When: Thursday, May 31, 7:30 – 10 a.m.
Where: First Christian Church (Disciples of Christ)
601 West Ponce de Leon
Decatur, GA 30030
This event will take place in the church parking lot. We’ll provide coffee, pastries, and give-aways. Bicycle South is setting up a mobile bike repair tent for participants.
We’ll also announce the results of our Bike Month Challenge. Kate, our Director of Congregational Support, has been biking to work since she joined our staff in January, and she has challenged the rest of the staff and GIPL supporters to do the same. Biking to work reflects our commitment as people of faith to care for creation. It saves precious energy and helps us get outside to enjoy Creation!
Even if you don’t ride your bike, we hope you’ll stop by on May 31 to celebrate .
Co-sponsored by First Christian Church of Decatur, Bicycle South, Pure Knead, and Pastries A Go Go. “
