How an orange umbrella helps you stay active…

This sunny, lightweight, walking-cane style orange umbrella is making the rounds. Seen weekly on Wednesdays at 11am for Walk With a Doc, it provides shade or cover from light rain and it offers a prop for those wary of uneven footing or with balance issues. At the Atlanta BeltLine lantern parade, it was illuminated and seen walking to and fro along the 2.5 mile parade route with 10,000 other home-crafted lanterns in the cool of the evening. At the Chattahoochee River on a rainy day, it offered shelter from a light drizzle and a doubled as a hiking stick for the hike back up from the river. And seen here in the gymnasium, it invites you to come give it a whirl and stay active with us!

Keep an eye out for it and see if you can catch a photo of the orange Be Active Decatur umbrella. Tag you’re it!
