Get back on that bike Sally…

Free bike class Saturday 5/14 at 1pm with award winning educator!

seniors bikingThat’s right active adults, you can ride a bike again. You loved it as a kid, that freeeee feeling, flowing through the parks, wind in your hair, ringing your bell, brrrrrrng, and a basket full of picnic items to enjoy when you arrive.

Perhaps you already bike around, but prefer the quiet of city parks and paths vs. busy streets? Either way, Nedra* will guide you on the safest cycling techniques, review the Georgia cycling laws, in a classroom setting, and then get the group out on the PATH trail for a test ride. You’ll be spinning in no time and honored to learn with this award-winning educator!

IMG_9235So if you need a refresher, meet other active adults, THIS Saturday (May 14) at 100pm-330pm at Decatur Rec Center for a FREE basic cycling course and short PATH ride. It will also give you ideas about where to ride.

Register here so we know how many to expect. And please either bring your bike and a helmet or email Nedra if you need a loaner bike. We have a few spare bikes here that you can use for class, but we’ll need to get them out of storage, so let us know.

* Nedra is national educator of the year as designated by the League of American Bicyclists. She teaches for both Civil Bikes and Georgia Bikes and has agreed to lead our classes this spring!
