Saturday, May 19th is National Kids to Park Day. Enjoy your day at one of the City of Decatur’s great parks!
Ride your bicycle to McKoy Park between 10am and 1pm for Bicycle Registration and learn some bike safety skills from Decatur Active Living Director Greg White. We will block off the upper parking lot to provide lots of bike riding space. Decatur Police will be on hand to register your bike in the event that it is lost or stolen.
In the evening, join us at Beacon Hill Center for the first annual Great Fitness Jump Tournament which begins with a jumping demonstration at 5pm. Following the demonstration watch jump ropers compete in several categories.
Enjoy a great day in a Decatur City Park: take a picnic, play on the playground, bring a ball and shoot some hoops, or simply bring your favorite book and read in the sunshine.
See you at the park!
