Youth Baseball Opening Day

Youth Baseball opened the season this past Saturday with the Opening Day Parade, followed by an afternoon of baseball and fun at Oakhurst Park. The first pitch was thrown out by James Moore, a former player with the Atlanta Black Crackers.

James “Red” Moore threw out the first pitch. With Mr. Moore are Decatur Football Coach Brad Wagoner, Mike Glenn, Mayor Bill Floyd and Larry Williams.

Trey Padgett of Superior Chevrolet presented a sponsorship check to Mayor Floyd, Director Greg White and Athletic Program Supervisor Stacy Green.

Hundreds of children started their season and had fun playing on the playground before and after their games.
