Participate in the GA Marathon without having to run!

For the tenth year, Decatur will host a water station for the Publix Georgia Marathon on Sunday morning, March 20. Decatur Active Living Board member Michael Harbin is coordinating volunteers for the water station. Once again, we will provide water, Gatorade and encouragement to 3,000+ marathon participants as they pass through Decatur at the halfway point in their 26.2 mile personal challenge.
We need 35 energetic and enthusiastic volunteers to do the job properly. The water station will be set up on Clairemont across from the Courtyard Marriott with Decatur DJ Bo Emerson providing the soundtrack! The music alone is worth it. Volunteers arrive at 7:00 a.m. and are finished about 10:30 a.m. You will also receive a free GA Marathon t-shirt!
If you are up for a unique Sunday morning experience and for helping to show Decatur’s hometown hospitality to these marathoners, register as a volunteer for the City of Decatur Hydration Station 09 at http://www.doitsports.com/volunteer2/info.tcl?job_id=15515913. We hope to see you there!
