Bike Class for Women Friday at Decatur Recreation

I-bike-decatur-fnl-for-printerDecatur Active Living is partnering with Women Bike Atlanta to present Traffic Skills 101 this Friday, May 2 at the Decatur Recreation Center from 6 – 9 pm and then on Saturday the “road” session is at 2 pm.

Traffic Skills 101 (TS101) is a fast-paced class that will give you the confidence to ride safely and legally in traffic or on the trail. You will learn how to conduct bicycle safety checks, fix a flat, on-bike skills and crash avoidance techniques. We recommended this class for women and young ladies above the age of fourteen. The class is free!

Taught by Neil Walker, a League Cycling Instructor, Traffic Skills 101 gives cyclists the  confidence they need to ride safely and legally in traffic or on the trail. Through TS101, students learn how to conduct bicycle safety checks, fix a flat, on-bike skills and crash avoidance techniques. We recommend this class for adults and children above the age of 14. The curriculum is fast paced, six hours, and prepares cyclists for a full understanding of vehicular cycling.
