Bright at Night Walk this Friday

Take a walk with the Pedestrian Advisory Committee! This Friday, June 24, at 8 p.m. starting at Decatur Recreation Center. PAC hopes to encourage citizens to enjoy walking in Decatur, day and night. To address safety concerns and to help citizens enjoy the city at night, we are offering a series of Bright at Night walks that encourage community and exercise. All participants receive wearable lights to wear on future walks.

Great news on a hot Friday evening. McKoy Pool will reopen tomorrow, Saturday, June 18, at 10:00am. Come beat the heat with us!

In order to address excessive metals in the water, McKoy pool will be drained and refilled. This process will take 2-3 days. We are slated to reopen this Saturday, June 18 but be sure to check back for updates.
We appreciate your patience as we attempt to remedy the recent issues with cloudy water.

Join our Bright at Night walk on Friday, May 27 at 8:00pm to take an evening stroll around Decatur. Be sure to wear bright clothing so you can be seen! The walk will begin and end in front of Decatur Recreation Center.
Last chance to participate in Bike Month on Saturday, May 28 at 10am for our Public Art Ride. All skill levels are welcomed for this slow paced ride. Helmets are required. Meet us in front of Decatur Recreation Center.
Celebrate Bike to Work Week with Decatur Active Living

The end of Bike Month is quickly approaching so be sure to celebrate with us as we wrap up another great month.
Visit us at our Bike to Work Energizer Station tomorrow morning, May 20, in front of Decatur Recreation Center for a grab and go breakfast.
Bike and Brews will be later that evening at 6:30pm. We will meet in front of Decatur Recreation Center then end at Twains Brewpub.
Did we mention that GA Commute Options will join us? Visit their table for cool swag. Hope to see you ride with us.
