For the safety of the community and staff we will have the following guidelines in place:
Pools are open each day from 10am – 6pm
Admission $5 for each person older than 2. The cost is for admission, not for swimming. Exact Cash (no change will be given), In-state check (no starter check), or pay with credit card by phone by calling 404-377-7231.
Resident Season Pool Passes available for purchase at Webtrac.decaturga.com for $125. Individual pool passes are $45.
Due to the reduction in pool occupancy, the pool admission fee will guarantee patrons a maximum of two hours at the pool. Patrons will record the time that they arrived at the pool on the sign in sheet. This policy will be enforced when there are patrons in line waiting to enter the pool.
Please maintain a distance of 6 ft. from others at all times. Parents are responsible for ensuring that their children are adhering to social distancing guidelines.
It is strongly suggested that all patrons wear a mask while not in the pool.
Patrons are responsible for disinfecting pool furniture prior to use. Disinfectant is not provided.
Showers and changing rooms are closed. Restrooms are limited to two people at a time.
Toys and balls are not allowed in the pool.
Wearable flotation devices will be allowed in the pool, subject to the discretion of the lifeguards.
Adult Swim is 20 minutes to allow lifeguards to wipe down high touch surfaces. All patrons younger than 18 will exit the pool at this time.
No snack or food service. Patrons may bring their own food and drink to the pool. No glass.
The best place to stay cool this summer is at one of the three City of Decatur pools. You may want to get a pool pass to enjoy the pools throughout the summer.
Pool passes are available at Glenlake Tennis Center located behind Glenlake Pool and at Decatur Recreation Center; prices vary depending on whether you are a City of Decatur Resident or Non-Resident and also depending on which type of pass you select; Individual or Household. Fees and other information can be found here. Residents must bring proof of residency in the form of a tax bill or utility bill.
Enjoy the newly renovated Ebster Pool, home of the Decatur Gators Swim Team. It now has eight lanes, a new splash pad, and a renovated pool house. Great pool for swimming laps, or just enjoying the sunshine and cool water. Ebster Pool is located behind the new Decatur Police Station.
Glenlake Pool is Decatur’s largest pool and most active. It has a new PVC liner and new pump room equipment. This pool offers a snack area, patio for enjoying the sun, shade shelter and shallow water for the younger children. Located at 1121 Church Street, it is one block north of Commerce Drive.
McKoy Pool is a popular pool for young families. The pool has a zero-depth entry making is easier for elderly guests and those with disabilities to use and features dedicated lap lanes for adult swimming. Located at McKoy Park in Oakhurst, 534 McKoy Street.
Our staff is working hard to repair the motor at Glenlake Pool and hope to have the pool open on Friday. In the meantime, please enjoy swimming at Ebster Pool and McKoy Pool. Always nice to try something new!
