Third Sunday Stroll
This month’s stroll will be on Sunday, March 19 at 2pm. Meet in front of the Decatur Recreation Center for a stroll through downtown with members of the Pedestrian Advisory Committee.

 

Fourth Thursday Bright at Night Walk
Discover Decatur at night with a walk through the City. Walkers receive a free light to wear and keep to “Be Safe and Be Seen”. Meet in front of Decatur Recreation Center at 7:30 pm.

50+ Walks
Join Sara, our Adult Program Supervisor, for thees weekly walks. Meet in front of the Decatur Recreation Center at 10 am. Walks average 3 miles and travel through various parts of the City.

Walk With a Doc
These walks have moved to the second Saturday of the month and leave the Decatur Recreation Center at 10 am. Next walk is April 8.

Decatur Active Living and the Pedestrian Committee of the Active Living Board invite you to walk with us this month!

Third Sunday Stroll
Sunday, February 19, 2 PM
Meet in front of the Decatur Recreation Center
Join us as we tour some of the artwork of the Decatur Box Project. We will walk approximately two miles around downtown Decatur and learn about the artwork on the electrical boxes that was commissioned by the Decatur Arts Alliance. Everyone is invited and there is no cost to join us for this event.

Fourth Thursday Bright at Night Walk
Thursday, February 23, 7:30 pm
New Start this month! Meet in front of Winnona Park School
The February 23 Bright at Night Walk will begin at 7:30 p.m. in front of Winnona Park School and will take walkers through the Winnona Park neighborhood, past the Children’s Home property and onto the campus of Columbia Theological Seminary. Walkers will receive a free light to wear and keep so they will “Be Safe and Be Seen!”

Decatur Active Living also has the weekly 50+ Walk every Wednesday at 10 am that starts in front of the Decatur Recreation Center and the monthly Walk With a Doc that meets the second Saturday of each month.

4th Thursday Bright at Night Walk is Tonight

Walk decatur rev 15Join members of the Pedestrian Committee for the 4th Thursday Bright at Night walk. Walkers should plan to meet in front of the Decatur Recreation Center at 7:30pm for this walk through Decatur. Be sure to bring some water!

Walkers will receive a free light to keep them “bright at night!”

Walk decatur rev 15Join members of the Active Living Board’s Pedestrian Committee for our Fourth Thursday Walk. This month, Richard Cohen will lead the way around Decatur neighborhoods. Meet in front of the Decatur Recreation Center and be ready to walk at 7:30 p.m.

All participants will receive a free light to wear so they can “Be Safe and Be Seen.”

Walk decatur rev 15Spring has sprung and provides great weather for walking! Join members of the Pedestrian Advisory Board for an evening “Bright at Night” walk. The walk will be approximately three miles and wander through Decatur neighborhoods.

Meet at the Decatur Recreation Center and be ready to walk at 7:30 p.m. We encourage you to wear either bright colors or something reflective. You will also receive a special light so you can Be Safe and Be Seen! FREE
