Decatur Active Living is hosting the Third Friday Bike Ride on Friday, May 21. Meet in front of the Decatur Recreation Center and be ready to put wheels down at 6:30 pm. The ride is approximately 6 miles through Decatur neighborhoods and on the PATH. This is a no-drop ride; no one will be left behind.
GA Commute Options will be joining us, so come by early to pick up some freebies!
Please wear a helmet and a face covering.
This ride is not appropriate for children.

Join Decatur Active Living for the Halloween edition of the Third Friday Bike Ride on Friday, October 18.
Dress up and/or decorate your bike and ride 6 miles around Decatur neighborhoods. Meet at the Decatur Recreation Center. Come at 6 pm and meet the folks from Mountain High Outfitters in Decatur. They will have water, snacks, coupons and more!
Be ready to put wheels down at 6:30 pm. This ride is not recommended for small children as we ride at and adult pace.
After the ride we will visit a local restaurant for refreshments and camaraderie.
Bring your water bottle, bike lights, and be sure to wear your helmet.

The Third Friday Bike Ride is this coming Friday, August 16. Join Decatur Active Living staff for this 6 mile ride around Decatur neighborhoods. After the ride we will visit a local restaurant for refreshment and time to chat and make new biking friends.
Details:
Where: Ride Starts at the Decatur Recreation Center, 231 Sycamore Street. Meet out front of the center. There is free parking in the deck behind the library.
Time: We put wheels down at 6:30 pm
Other: Wear your helmet and bring a water bottle.

Let’s ride! Join Decatur Active Living staff for this fun, 6 mile ride around Decatur. We leave the Decatur Recreation Center at 6:30 pm and then go for refreshment after the ride. This is a fun, slow paced, no-drop ride.
Wear a helmet and bring a water bottle.
NOT recommended for children. In case of rain, we will cancel via this blog.

Spring has arrived and we are excited to have two bike rides in April!
Third Friday Bike Ride
Friday, April 19 at 6:30 pm Decatur Active Living staff will lead a 6 mile bike ride around Decatur. Meet at the Decatur Recreation Center and be ready to put wheels down at 6:30 pm. Helmets are required. Not recommended for children.
Senior Bike Ride
Friday, April 26 at 10 am staff will lead our first senior bike ride! Meet at the Decatur Recreation Center and be ready to ride at 10 am. We will ride 4 miles with a water break at Glenlake Park. Wear your helmet and bring a water bottle. The ride is free and limited to 15 so register here to reserve your spot.

Don your green and join Decatur Active Living for the Third Friday Bike Ride on Friday, March 15! We will be channeling our inner Irish and celebrating St. Patrick’s Day with a 6 mile bike ride around the city. This is a no-drop ride – we ride at a social pace and no one will be left behind.
Meet in front of the Decatur Recreation Center; wheels down at 6:30 pm. After the ride we will visit a local watering hole for refreshment and camaraderie.
Be sure to wear a helmet and bring a water bottle.

Join Decatur Active Living for the October Third Friday Bike Ride on Friday, October 19 at 6:30 p.m. This month’s theme is “Light up the Night!” and participants will receive free glow sticks, bracelets and necklaces. Be sure to have lights on your bike and wear something bright and/or reflective.
This month you will want to arrive early to visit with the GA Commute Options folks who will be joining us from 5:30 – 6:30 pm with info and to get your glow goodies.
Meet in front of the Decatur Recreation Center. Wheels down at 6:30 pm. We will ride 6 miles and then retire to a local watering hole for refreshments. This is a social paced no-drop ride. Not recommended for children.

Decatur Third Friday Bike Ride will be held on Friday, August 17 at 6:30 pm. This month’s theme is “Ride Like a Pirate.” Last year’s ride was so much fun, we had to do it again!
We will ride 6 miles around Decatur neighborhoods at a social pace then visit a local watering hole for refreshments. Pirate garb is optional, but encouraged. Meet in front of the Decatur Recreation Center located at 231 Sycamore Street, Decatur, and be ready to put wheels down at 6:30 pm.
This ride is not recommended for children. Helmets are required for all city-sponsored rides.
