Third Friday Bike Ride is August 19

Join Decatur Active Living for the Third Friday FUN Bike Ride! We will ride 5-6 miles around Decatur; this month we will be viewing public art as we ride! This is a no-drop ride –  no one will be left behind! After the ride we will visit a local watering hole for refreshments.

Meet in front of the Decatur Recreation Center and be ready to roll at 6:30 p.m. Helmets are required and lights are strongly suggested.

Let’s all hope that the weather holds and it doesn’t get rained out! In the event of bad weather, check back here on Friday afternoon for updates.

Third Friday Fun Bike Ride July 15

Hop on your bike and ride on over to the Decatur Recreation Center on Friday, July 15th for the Third Friday FUN Bike Ride! We begin in front of the center at 6:30 pm and ride approximately 5-6 miles  through scenic Decatur neighborhoods. This month we will ride an “art route” that takes us by public art. This route was scheduled for May and got rained out.

After the ride we will visit a local watering hole for refreshments and social time.

Helmets and lights are required. We want to “Be Safe and Be  Seen!”

Let’s Bike Decatur! Friday, August 21…….

Let’s Bike Decatur! This Friday, August 21 at 6:30 pm join Decatur Active Living for a fun, social and slow paced ride around historic/scenic Decatur. We will ride 5-6 miles and enjoy refreshments after the ride at one of Decatur’s watering holes. Make new friends and have fun riding around the City.

Meet in front of the Decatur Recreation Center at 6:30 pm. We share the parking deck behind the Library, so there is plenty of parking if you are driving over. Fill up your tires and make minor adjustments with the Dero bike repair station out front.

No ride if raining…check back here to see if the ride is cancelled due to inclement weather. Helmets are required, and bring water to drink!

Decatur Third Friday Bike Ride This Friday

Join Decatur Active Living for a FUN bike ride this Friday, July 17th at 6:30 pm. Meet in front of the Decatur Recreation Center, 231 Sycamore Street for this all-levels 5-6 mile ride. No one will be left behind. We will visit a Decatur watering hole for refreshments after the ride. Parking is available behind the Decatur Library, but we are only a short hop from the Decatur MARTA Station.

Please wear a helmet!! No ride if raining.

Third Friday Fun Bike Ride is June 19 – That’s Tomorrow!

Join Decatur Active Living for the Third Friday Fun Bike Ride on Friday, June 19 at 6:30 pm. We will meet in front of the Decatur Recreation Center and ride an easy 5-6 miles around scenic neighborhoods. All levels of riders are welcome and no one will be left behind. After the ride, we will visit a Decatur watering hole for refreshments. Parking is available behind the Decatur Library, adjacent to the Recreation Center.

Bring a water bottle. Helmets are required.

There is a bike repair station in front of the Recreation Center, so come early and make some small adjustments and/or fill the tires with some air.
