Decatur Healing Arts is partnering with the Decatur Farmers Market to provide a free community yoga class on Saturday May 21 and May 28 at 10 am. Bring a mat and some water and join Cheryl on May 21 and Vlad on May 28 on the lawn of the First Baptist Church. After class you can do some healthy shopping at the organic farmers market.

Stroll on over to the Decatur Visitor’s Center/Decatur Arts Alliance Friday night, March 20 for the art opening Sightings 6 until 8 pm. Sightings features mixed media works by artist Terry Drahos, who divides her time between rural Nova Scotia and Atlanta. The event is free to the community.

Yesterday’s Team Decatur and Get Active! Atlanta Kickoff Event was so much fun! We did Jazzercise, Afridancercise, and NIA Dance. There was a lot of information on staying fit and healthy in the Health Expo, and we tried to stay cool after all this exercise by standing by the Fire Department’s Misting Trailer.
Time to Train!
So, now it is time to start training for the Kaiser Permanente Corporate 5K in September. A few of us began this morning wtih a brisk walk around Decatur beginning at Beacon Hill Center.
