What great decorations have you seen?

Healthy Monday: Is Stress Haunting You?

From our friends at MondayCampaigns.org:

Regardless of age or ability level, sometimes it’s just hard to find the energy, motivation, or confidence to get back into a workout routine. Whether you fear getting injured or are just reluctant to get back into the gym, it’s important to remember that a little anxiety about recommitting to exercise is perfectly normal.

Check out our list of common fitness fears, and start overcoming them.

A Visit to Hawk Hollow

It has been fun to discover new places to walk and bike to in Decatur. My friend Gail took me on a walk to Hawk Hollow, located on 1st Avenue off of Oakview Road.

Hawk Hollow is part of the Wylde Center and is a natural setting featuring woodland paths, a butterfly garden, a creek, and two Hobbit Houses that you can even stay overnight in.

Read more about Hawk Hollow and be sure to stop by on your next walk or bike ride.

It’s National School Bus Safety Week

National School Bus Safety Week is here. As a reminder, this year’s theme is “Red Lights Mean Stop!” Whether you’re riding a bus now or planning to ride one in the future, practicing school bus safety is always important.

Share the love! Remember to appreciate your bus drivers this week and on Thursday’s “We Love Our Bus Driver Day.” Bus drivers inspire us all through their hard work, dedication and bravery. We want to honor them this school year for going the extra mile to serve our families and schools during the pandemic.
